I was 23 yrs old when I contracted NF in south Georgia. My right arm was amputated due to the severity of the infection. I was dominant with my right hand for 23 yrs so, there have been some hard times re-training myself how to eat,dress,brush teeth,bathe, and drive. I will say that NF changed my life forever. Through my journey of living life without a limb I have realized how many people are unaware of this bacteria. I would love to help this organization spread awareness. My story made the front page of the local papers and I was on every news station in South Georgia / Florida. It was like no one knew very much about this infection. I want to help change that. I also want to help other survivors overcome there battle against NF.
